What we do......

Well, first of all, what is the difference between a Ceilidh, a Barn Dance and a Twmpath? Several theories exist, but this is ours. Barn Dances and ceilidhs are basically the same but the dances and tunes tend to be a little more traditional at a barn dance. A Ceilidh is generally regarded to be a more lively affair, with a few songs and tunes maybe thrown in. . A Twmpath is both of the above with more emphasis on Welsh tunes and dances. All the above variations are great fun and the dances themselves are quite similar, it's just a matter of personal choice. The important thing is that everyone has FUN. No experience of dancing is required and it doesn't matter if you have two left feet!

Here are just some of the services Twmpathology can provide:

  • Twmpathology are a four piece band playing lively traditional style tunes from the British Isles and beyond for social gatherings, weddings, ceilidhs, barn dances, dawns twmpath and festivals.

  • our own caller who will lead you through the dances with friendly good humour

  • songs and music to entertain you between dances.

  • our own p.a.

  • available throughout North West Wales, Gwynedd, Conwy, Anglesey, Ynys Mon and occasionally further

  • lots of fun!!
